The Howard Johnson is just 2 miles from downtown Newport and the Mansions, 1 mile from the Newport Naval base and Corporate Parks. Facilities include an indoor heated swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, free fitness room from 6am-10pm, dry cleaning, laundry, and a video game area. Rooms with 2 beds are large, and all upper floor rooms have a private balcony. All of our guest rooms have been newly renovated. Free High Speed Internet. Airport Shuttle (for a fee). Deluxe Home Office; rooms feature a microwave, refrigerator, cordless phone and other special amenities. Pets ($10/pet/night) are permitted in standard rooms on the ground level only. Special rules apply. A nice shopping area including the Christmas Tree Shop is adjacent to the Inn and you will find over 80 other restaurants either within walking distance or in nearby downtown Newport. Applebees Restaurant is attached to the Inn, Continental Breakfast ($3.99pp) is available 7am-10am. Applebees reopens daily at 11:00am and closes Sunday through Thursday at 10:00 pm and Friday & Saturday at 11:00 pm.
