Falcons Crest Inn, a 6500 square-foot elegant and intimate mountain chalet-style Inn is only 54 miles east of Portland, Oregon. Enjoy a spectacular view of the local mountain ranges and recreational areas from the two-story picture window front of the inn. There are thousands of skiable acres on Mt. Hood - miles of groomed runs, long gliding slopes, but also steep challenges. There is generally an abundance of snow and night skiing is available. Timberline Ski Area offers year around ski/snowboarding, and is the only resort in North America that can boast that! Inquire about our seasonal packages including the Winter Sports, Spring Fling and Fall Foliage Escape. Historic Timberline Lodge, the Oregon Trail, fishing, golf, white water rafting, mineral hot springs, wind surfing, hiking, amateur theater productions, boutique and antique shopping, day spa treatments, casino, museums and interpretive centers are just minutes of travel away. Rooms at Falcon's Crest are distinctive. Each is decorated in the theme which matches its name. For example, the Safari Suite features rattan furniture, plush jungle animals and a tropical tree. Enjoy the six course gourmet dinner prepared nightly (by advance reservations only), in our European-style restaurant. Cocktails are served at 7pm, seating for dinner is at 7:30pm, Northwest wines are also featured. King Bed-Walk In Shower-Full Breakfast Forest View-Antiques-AM Coffee/Muffins The Cat Ballou Room - Upon entering, the ivory lace comforter and carpet, the red velvet chairs, drapes and throw pillows greet the guest. This room has a dressing table and bureau that have been in the host's family for over 100 years, interesting artwork, and private bath. Non smoking.
The Safari Room:
Queen Bed-Tub/Shower Combo-Full Breakfast Complimentary AM Coffee And Muffins The Safari Room - Filled with lions, tigers, leopards, and bears (plush, stuffed animals, that is...) with glass sliding doors that overlooks the Skibowl Recreation area. The porcelain butterflies represent species that are found around the world. The bamboo cage queen bed, rattan furniture, tropical flowers, a colorful paper mache parrot, and a star-studded galaxy that can only be seen at night, complete the room's decor.
The Sophia Room:
2Twin Beds-Complimentary Full Breakfast Forest View-Large Bath/Shower-AM Refresh Tray The Sophia Room - Named after Melody's maternal grandmother, with oriental carpets, it boasts a large 2-room bath, shower and lavatory in one, basin and dressing room in adjoining room, while the second basin is located in an alcove of the bedroom itself. A large picture window looks out into the deep lush beauty of the forest.
The Mexicalli Suite:
Queen Bed-Complimentary Full Breakfast Complimentary AM Refresh Tray The Mexicalli Suite - Decorated with the colors of the Southwest, and it is the most private of the Inn's suites. It offers a bedroom, sitting room and very large bathroom. Art work includes a bronze sculpture by Buck McCain, and a trunk that is used as a coffee actually came over to this country with Melody's grandfather. The bathroom has twin vanity sinks and a walk-in shower.
The Master Suite:
Forest View-Complimentary Full Breakfast Comp AM Room Service W/Beverage/Muffins The Master Suite - Filled with charm, soft white carpet offsets the cherry wood four-poster queen bed and the matching suite pieces. Glass sliding doors look out into the forest. The master bath comes complete with twin vanity sinks, a lavatory closeted in a private room and an exercise bicycle.
