The equinox spans 2,300 acres of land including the historic equinox hotel, the Charles Orvis inn, Avanyu spa re-opened in 2003 with a beautiful 13,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility, an 18-hole championship quality golf course and clubhouse, Equinox pond and part of Mount Equinox. Located in Manchester Village, Vermont the resort can trace its roots to 1769, when Equinox, adjacent townhouses and the CharlesOrvis inn. The Charles Orvis inn, reopened in July 1995, includes nine luxurious one and two bedroom suites with marble baths, full cherry paneled kitchens, gracious living and dining areas. Guests at the Orvis Inn enjoy the exclusive use of the private tying room bar, billiard room, stately board room and marble terrace.

Equinox Townhouses Complete with fireplaces, fully-equipped kitchens, gorgeous mountain views and porches, the townhouses offer an exceptional alternative to traditional hotel accommodations. Townhouse rates are based on two people per bedroom. The Charles Orvis Inn The Charles Orvis Inn at The Equinox offers business and leisure travelers an upscale country retreat with private, personalized service. The elegantly restored 19th century residence includes nine luxurious one and two bedroom suites with marble baths, full cherry-paneled kitchens, and gracious living and dining areas. The Board Room, the Tying Room Bar and the Billiard Room are all beautifully appointed in a timeless club ambiance.

The Marsch Tavern The showpiece of the hotel is this authentic tavern, the original structure of the Equinox, which dates back to 1769. It is open daily for breakfast, lunch, late lunch, and dinner serving regional cuisine and fine spirits. Live entertainment is featured on weekends. There is cocktail service offered on the Marsh Tavern terrace through late night during summer months. The Colonade The grand Colonnade offers an elegant dining experience featuring contemporary American and European cuisine and wines. Dinner is served July to mid-October on Tuesday-Saturday evenings. An exquisite, showstopping brunch is offered every Sunday from Noon - 2:30 PM. The Dormy Grill Open seasonally, the Dormy Grill is located at the clubhouse at the Gleneagles Golf Course serving casual lunches and fabulous evening Lobsterfests on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Play tennis and croquet on our regulation courts or give volleyball a try. The Equinox Fitness Spa offers a full complement of activities and services including: Reiki, massages, reflexology, exfoliation treatments, muslin wraps, private training and exercise classes, and body composition analysis. The facility also offers tone & stretch, aqua aerobics and fitness treks. It houses Nautilus and free-standing weights, cardiovascular equipment, sauna and steam rooms, and heated indoor and outdoor pools. Other Activities In addition to golfing on the Gleneagles Golf Course, mastering off-road driving techniques at the Land Rover Driving School and handling birds of prey at the British School of Falconry, we offer many other activities to plan a memorable stay at The Equinox.
