Another attraction is Gold Head Branch State Park, a ravine where hiking, biking, canoeing, swimming and camping are available. Enjoy fishing on the many surrounding lakes in the area. We are 25 miles from the University of Florida and just 60 miles from Marineland and Silver Springs. Starke's top employers include Dupont, SMI Joist and Camp Blanding.
