To find the Emerald Forest take the Trinidad Exit of California Highway 101, on the west side (Chevron station) of the interchange, take the frontage road North (Patricks Point Drive) for 1/2 mile North to the Emerald Forest. The Trinidad exit of California HWY 101 is 23 miles north of Eureka, CA, 300 miles north of San Francisco, and approx 400 miles south of Portland, Oregon. Redwood National Park is located 17 miles North of the Emerald Forest of Trinidad on HWY 101.

Sea kayaking rentals, lessons and guided tours are offered. Many great beaches nearby for strolling, agate and driftwood hunting, and romantic sunsets. Take a horseback ride through the redwood forest.
