Lodge Room:
Rooms at The Lodge are situated above the clubhouse, all with views of the Atlantic Ocean or Plantation Course. Rooms are spacious and feature rich wood furnishings, exposed beam ceilings and hardwood floors. All are appointed with Irish linens, Oriental rugs and have large marble baths with deep-soaking tubs, oversized shower heads, heated towel bars and non-fogging mirrors. Amenities include 24-hour butler service, robes, slippers, Penhaligon's toiletries and more.

Take I-95 North from Jacksonville. Exit I-95 N at Exit #29 toward JEKYLL ISLAND/SAINT SIMONS/ SEA ISLAND/BRUNSWICK and turn RIGHT on (Us Hwy. 17/82- North (Golden Isles Parkway) Turn RIGHT at light onto F.J. Torras Causeway. Drive 4.4 miles over the causeway and take first road on the Right called Kings Way. Then go straight through a flashing light, at the next red light take a Right at (Retreat Avenue), which is the entrance to The Lodge. Continue straight into the Ave of Oaks and drive up to the gate entry way.
Take I-95 South from Savannah. Exit off I-95 on Exit #38 (North Golden Isles Parkway). Turn LEFT onto Golden Isles Parkway (Spur 25 South). Drive 4.7 miles and turn RIGHT onto US 17 South. Drive 1.6 miles and turn LEFT on the F.J. Torras Causeway. Drive 4.4 miles over the causeway and take first road on the Right called Kings Way. Then go straight through a flashing light, at the next red light take a Right at (Retreat Avenue), which is the entrance to The Lodge. "Refined Southern" - this is the feel of The Terrace dining room and menu. Located at the Lodge at Sea Island, The Terrace is reminiscent of an elegant Southern home. Refined Southern American Cuisine is taken to new levels for energizing breakfasts, imaginitive lunches and world class dinners. Experience the Prixe Fixe menu or sample the Homemade Peach Ice Cream- both are worth a phone call home. Colt & Alison's
Imagine dining with hand-crafted cutlery embellished with mother-of-pearl inlays?this is the level of detail you can expect at this truly memorable establishment. Located at the Lodge at Sea Island, Colt & Alison's specializes in exceptional dry-aged beef, chops and seafood, presented in a regal yet intimate atmosphere. Beach Club
Fancy a more casual, 'island-style' environment? The Beach Club offers oceanside dining that's perfectly balanced between dress-down and elegant. Abundant breakfast and lunch buffets boast every selection imaginable, and our evening seafood buffet, featuring shrimp, oysters, crab claws, an assortment of the freshest fish and other favorites, is a treat not to be missed. Or, if you prefer, a full a la carte menu offers traditional delights from both land and sea. Dress is casual for breakfast and lunch (swimwear may be worn with a cover-up and shoes or sandals). In the evening, women tend to be "elegant casual" while males over age 12 wear collared shirts and slacks.

For the adventurous, sea kayaking, catamaran sailing and body boards call. A kayaking or sailing lesson will help you navigate our five-miles of private Atlantic Beach. Seeking something a little more relaxing? Head to The Beach Club and lose yourself in the whirlpool?or sit under a shady cabana and enjoy your favorite drink poolside. Later, join one of our ever-popular vintage yacht cruises and explore the animal, plant and marine life of our tidal creeks.
Equestrian & Stables
Shall we dare suggest that waves need embellishing? The clip-clop sound of hooves on wet sand may be nature?s best musical score yet. Unsullied miles of Atlantic beach and island salt marshes provide the ideal setting for a horseback excursion. Try a ring ride or start with lessons in English balance seat or Western style. For serious equestrians, our stables offer the proper boarding accommodations for your own horse. Meet us for some daytime exploration or a natural history ride with our naturalist who highlights the unique environment on Sea Island. Enjoy the acoustics.
Bicycling
We have our own version of ?off-road? vehicles. Rent a bicycle at the Bike Shop and explore oak-shaded paths and island nooks the way guests did before SUVs were even thought of. Feel like a kid again?it's time. A Leisurely Way to Tour Sea Island With spring gardens in bloom, what better way to explore the byways of the island than by bicycle? Rentals are available next to the Spa. Mr. Fred has appropriately-sized bicycles and helmets for every member of the family! Rental rates are $8/hour, $14/half day, $16/first day and $8 each additional day. Child carriers are available for $1.50/day. Enjoy a little exercise while enjoying the view at your pace.
Dancing at Sea Island
Would it be out of line to credit dancing at The Cloister with inspiring wonderful relationships? Four generations of newlyweds, couples and families have whiled away joyous evenings ? dreaming while dancing cheek-to-cheek, strengthening bonds in the mirth of dance lessons. We can't help but think the effects are everlasting, which is why dancing continues to be an important part of Cloister life. Audrey Wood, our resident dance instructor, has taught Cloister guests the fine points of dancing for over a decade and she makes it seems so easy! Originally from Great Britain, Audrey trained at the Alex Moore School of Dancing in London for eleven years. A certified instructor with memberships in the National Dance Council, the International Dance Teacher Association, Terpsichore and the National Teachers of Dance, she teaches all dances approved by the National Dance Council of the United States. A complimentary group lesson is offered Monday-Saturday at 2 p.m. and private lessons may be arranged by appointment.
