Thorncroft Inn is a romantic, secluded, first class, exclusively couples oriented, fourteen-room country inn situation in three restored buildings on 2 1/2 acres of landscaped treed grounds, one block from the ocean in an area of summer estates on the island of Martha's Vineyard. The inn is a first class property, have received a Four Diamond Award from the American Automobile Associated for 16 consecutive years. Room #6 is a large, rectangular room with bow top, queen canopied, four post bed and formal Colonial furnishings and wing chairs. It has a working fireplace and furnished balcony facing South and West. Located on the second floor of the Main Building, it has a bath with oversized shower and skylight. Room #6 has been featured on television.
Standard Double - Room 8:
Room #8 is a cozy, mid-level, "L" shaped room on the second floor of the Main Building. It faces the East and it has formal Colonial furnishings with a four post full sized bed and wing chairs. Of course, as do all our rooms, this room has a private full bath.
Standard Queen - Room 7:
An "L" shaped, Main Building, second floor accommodation, Room #7 is one of the inn's best standard rooms. It has an Oriental motif, antique wicker arm chairs and queen canopied four post bed. The room faces toward the East and it has a bath with tub and shower.
Mid Level Fireplace Queen - Room 5:
Empire furnishings dating from 1835, including an intricately carved, queen canopied four post bed distinguish Room #5. It has a loveseat facing a working fireplace and a furnished, open balcony, facing the South and West. This "L" shaped room is located on the second floor of the Main Building and it has a bath with tub and shower.
Deluxe Fireplace Jacuzzi Queen - Room 14:
Room #14 is a true suite, sitting room, bedroom and bath. It has a private exterior entrance and is on the first floor of the Carriage House. The bedroom has a queen canopied four post bed and formal Colonial furnishings. There is a bath with shower off the bedroom. The separate sitting room is stunning with a working fireplace in one corner and facing it, in the opposite corner, a two person whirlpool tub set in a mirrored alcove. The tub is 75 gallons, which is 2 1/2 times the size of a conventional bathtub and designed for two persons to recline, side by side, comfortably. The room has windows on three sides, North, South and East and is well equipped with its own apartment sized refrigerator.

This large, bright room, located on the second floor of the Carriage House, has windows on three sides, facing North, East and South. It has formal Colonial furnishings with wing chairs, queen canopied four post bed, working fireplace, furnished balcony with awning and bath with tub and shower. It is admirably furnished, complete with VCR. The room has been featured on television on two occasions.
Deluxe Fireplace Hot Tub Queen - Room 10:
Our oldest antique, a queen canopied four post bed dating from 1795, is in Room #10. The room is one of our best with formal Colonial furnishings, private exterior entrance and gated, fenced enclosure. It has a working fireplace and bath with one person whirlpool tub. Room #10 is noted for its extreme privacy and private 300 gallon hot tub located in a screened porch accessible directly from the room. The tub and porch are designed so that the occupants of the tub cannot be viewed from the outside. Water in the hot tub is changed for every new guest. At 300 gallons, the hot tub is ten times the size of a conventional bathtub. The hot tub is a year 'round feature. This unique accommodation also features a gated entrance and furnished deck, both of which are covered by a full awning. In addition it has an apartment sized refrigerator. It is located on the first floor of the Carriage House.

Room #3 is one of our best and largest standard guest bedrooms and it is located on the first floor of the Main Building. It has a queen sized canopied four post bed, formal Colonial furnishing with wing chairs and bath with clawfoot tub and shower.
Deluxe Hot Tub Fireplace Queen-Room 1:
Room #1 is a large, corner room on the first floor of the Main Building with windows facing South and West. It has Renaissance Victorian furnishings with a headboard and matching marble top dresser some 8' tall. The bed is very unusual, it is a specially built, original, queen sized bed dating from 1855. This room has a working fireplace and bath with clawfoot tub and shower. Through a French door in the room you directly enter a 16' X 16' screened porch with 300 gallon hot tub for that couples' use only. The porch is completely private, the occupants of the hot tub cannot be viewed from the outside. Water is changed for every new guest. At 300 gallons, the hot tub is ten times the size of a conventional bathtub. The bright, airy screened porch has furnishing for lounging and an apartment sized refrigerator. The hot tub is a year 'round feature.

Room #4 is ideal for those who seek complete privacy yet in a cozy, country inn setting. Located in our Main Building, it has a private exterior entrance and its own furnished covered porch. It is an "L" shaped room with working fireplace and early Victorian furnishings. The antique bed, dating from 1840, is a Plantation Bed, a combination of a Colonial four poster and Renaissance Victorian headboard. It has a bath with clawfoot tub and shower.
Deluxe Fireplace Jacuzzi Suite - Room 9:
Room #9 Facing South, this comfortable room on the first floor of the Carriage House has a private exterior entrance, working fireplace and large bay window. It has country Colonial furnishings with wing chairs and queen canopied four post bed. The very large, tiled bath has stall shower and two person whirlpool tub, designed for two persons to recline, side by side comfortably, set in a mirrored alcove in the room. It is well furnished including an apartment sized refrigerator.

This private cottage is our very best accommodation. It is 56' long and 26' wide and designed for those who must have the very best. It has its own garage for the guest with a favorite car to protect. The room has 1 1/2 baths, king four post bed, two person whirlpool, designed for two persons to recline, side by side, comfortably, set in a mirrored alcove in the room and working fireplace. Enjoy breakfast delivered to the room on your 12' X 26' covered deck furnished with large hammock and Adirondack chairs. Clearly, this is one of a kind and without equal.
