Our motto here at The Cabot is Customer Service Excellance, it is our intention to provide our guest with a home away from home atmosphere, and a memory that will long remain with them. We are located in the heart of Lancaster, and home of the famous Lancaster Fair, the Labor Day weekend extravaganza spotlights agriculture activities, a large midway, 4-H exhibits, diverse musical entertainment and motorized competitions, pulling events and the ever popular demolition derby. Wide clean midways and free parking. From one end of the 65 acre compound straddling Route 3, the fair sprawls out for six days of camping, relaxation, and honky tonk atmosphere capping another North Country summer. On any given day in the week-long schedule there are activities, exhibitions, competitions, and entertainment to vast to sample. From the Alexander Hall, where vegetables including the countys largest pumpkin, flowers, and Grange exhibits are displayed, to the other end of the fairgrounds for horse pulling events, oxen skills competitions, sheep dog trials, and tractor pulls one can sense the pulse of the region, its history, its roots and enduring family values. On weekend nights, likely as not, a nationally known musical group will be entertaining largest sing-a-long in the area. In short, many of the ingredients to our Great North Woods lifestyle and work are celebrated at the countys signature event...the Lancaster Fair. Where else would you expect to find a real old fashion country fair but in the country. And for the second year in a row, we will host the Easter Seal Snowmobile Ride-In. The ride in benefits the Easter Seal Organazation, and honors those who have participate year round in efforts to raise money for research and equipment to aid the handicap. All in all it is a fun, relaxing weekend for every one.
